Hey fam!
I know this is not the usual time you receive Pulse — but better late than never, right?
Now, before we jump in, can you do me a favour and, in the comment section, tell me which country you’re reading this newsletter from?
Thank you!

If you like Pulse, please consider supporting it by becoming a paid subscriber. It’s like buying me a coffee or two every month — depending on where you get your coffee!
And if you can’t, please share Pulse with a friend or two. Word of mouth is my oxygen.
Thank you! Oh, and by the way, did you know you can gift Pulse subscriptions? Well, you CAN!

Notes on newsletters
Benedict Evans is one of the people who I often follow, mostly via his newsletter. I really enjoy his analytic essays and weekly roundups. Tbh, his newsletter inspired the very early structure of Pulse!
One of his posts that I had in my queue to read is his notes on newsletters — which fits quite nicely with where you’re reading about it!
In his notes, Ben Evans looks at two different views on newsletter platforms, like Substack [the platform hosting Pulse] and whether they are merely tools or they provide networks as well.
As usual, it’s an interesting piece.

Winning In Your Career As A Jack Of All Trades
Morning Brew is another one of the newsletters I often read — almost every day. In addition to their few newsletters and podcast, Morning Brew’s co-founder, Alex Lieberman, has a podcast, which I’ve recently enjoyed quite a bit.
In one of his recent episodes, Alex talks about the pros and cons of being a generalist, instead of a specialist… something I assume many of us has been told is the only way to success… maybe it’s not…
The episode is ~11 minutes and is quite brilliant.
listen to it on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or Google Podcasts.

i mean, there still gonna be attention… but i get what he means…
One Tool
Nifty Generator
Now that we mentioned NFTs in the tweet above, let’s talk about generating NFTs. If you know about NFTs, many of the currently popular ones are AI-generated collections of 10k NFTs.
Nifty Generator helps you create your NFT collection with no code…
Even if you’re not into NFTs yet, it’s quite fun to play around with it…
🌡 One gift for you.
can’t argue with that!
And that’s all for the Pulse 156. Stay curious. Try new things!
See you next week!
